We are committed to creating a welcoming space where everyone can find their place in the theater and foster a stronger sense of community and understanding through the performing arts. As a non-profit theater organization, our mission remains to educate, inspire, and ignite passion for theater among our community members.
What We Do
We strive to create a hub of community, creativity, and culture in the heart of downtown Taunton. We are building the next generation of strong, confident & kindhearted performers in a safe, non-competitive & inclusive environment. We ignite passion for the performing arts in creatives of all ages.
Our Story
In 2024, two Taunton-based theaters — Applause Academy and Nemasket Rivers Productions — combined to create the Taunton Performing Arts Center (TPAC), marking the start of a transformative journey of creativity and community enrichment.
TPAC aims to amplify our impact and expand our theatrical experiences to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Our collaboration is not just about sharing resources, but about embracing diversity in all its forms, in both the people we engage and the stories we tell.
In our 2025/2026 season, the TPAC stage will hold 14 plays and musicals, featuring performers aged 7 to adult! We also host vacation programming, group classes in acting and improv, private voice and acting lessons, and so much more! As we expand, our focus continues to be on providing our local community with high-quality theatrical performances and arts education for all ages.
