Taunton Performing Arts Center’s private acting lessons can help you give better presentations, improve your abilities, master your script or so much more! Lessons can focus on Audition preparation, Monologue/scene selection, In-depth personalized script & character analysis, Scene breakdown & interpretation ,On-camera audition technique, Questions and concerns about any aspects of the work or industry.

Private Lesson Policy:
Scheduling:
We offer weekly, biweekly, or one-time only lessons. Student’s only need to sign up once for a time slot. This slot is reserved until the student forfeits the time. You may also sign up at anytime and point in the year, however, we reserve lessons on a first come, first serve basis. Our lessons run from September 1st-June 30th, as we follow the schedule of Taunton Public Schools. If you are an adult, lessons may vary from the Taunton Public Schools’ schedule. We confirm lessons on the 15th of every month for the following month. If interested, please fill out the form below and a Taunton Performing Arts Center employee will contact you to further discuss scheduling.
Payment:
If paying by month, lessons will be priced at $35/half-hour, and $70/hour. The student must pay the cost of their lesson multiplied by the number of weeks in the month. Payment is due on the 15th of the month prior and will be withdrawn automatically unless other arrangements are made. We accept card and cash.
If you choose to pay with cash, you must pay both a deposit (equal to one lesson) and the cost of your first lesson in cash when scheduling your first session. The deposit will be returned in cash at the end of the year, provided there are no unexcused absences.
Cancellation Policy:
The student must contact Taunton Performing Arts Center as soon as possible for a cancellation. You must contact our Member Services Coordinator, Hannah Pereira (pereirah@thetpac.org), or call at 508-828-8942 to cancel. All cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance (or before 10:00 am the day of the lesson for sickness ONLY) in order to ensure you are not charged for your lesson.
Please note: if you notify only your instructor and do not inform our Member Services Coordinator, it will not count as an excused absence, and you will not be refunded for that lesson. The student will be charged the full value of their lesson for each additional week missed.
If the instructor is out, the student will be given advanced notice.
Taunton Performing Arts Center reserves the right to discontinue a student’s private lesson if the student frequently misses lessons or payments, or if the student’s behavior is deemed unacceptable.
